Prerequisites: Must be currently taking aerial arts classes from The Edge, SEMO, or Holland School of Performing and Visual Arts. Out of town guests permitted with owner approval.

Open aerial is the opportunity to practice what you have learned. There is no formal instruction through a certified instructor will be on hand to answer any questions and to observe for safety. You must be currently taking aerial classes.

Pre-requisites: Comfort in a climbing harness over extended time and inverting in a harness.

No previous aerial experience needed.

This exhilarating immersion will be structured around learning basic rope and harness dance techniques (not against a wall), as well as the rigging to take this dance form anywhere. We will be working both close to the ground and higher in the air, with ascenders and descenders. The vocabulary taught will be combined with guided solo and group improvisations as part of the exploration process. This is an amazing core workout and is not as intense on the arms for those taking other aerial classes at the Festival. No previous aerial experience is necessary, other than: be prepared to have fun and create!

Please wear multiple snug layers around your hips and waist for your comfort. If you have a harness and associated hardware, please bring it with you, otherwise, one will be provided.

Instructor permission required. Must have successfully completed through The Edge Aerial Arts Level 1 and/or 1.5 to be considered for Level 2 and Level 2/3 or schedule a private assessment if you have trained elsewhere or self-taught.

The Flying Pole is the very first piece of equipment to fully connect the aerial and pole fitness worlds. Our flying poles are both silicone covered, so leggings are required (a unitard is better) and in addition to being a form of Pole Fitness, it is a true aerial apparatus.
Prerequisites are completion of 8 Intro to Pole Fitness or Adult Intro to Aerial and instructor permission. Level 4 Youth and above are eligible to take this class.

So, you have your Level 1 and Level 2 Pole Fitness skills down-except........those darn inversions! If your invert is holding you back, then this course is for you. You will continue to build on your Level 1 & 2 skills while drilling your invert so you can move up to the next level.
